I’m Kira Comerford, and if you haven’t guessed already, I’m the KC in KC Creative.
I’ve been filming and editing videos of all descriptions since the summer of 2016. The original plan had been to get a degree in film after getting some work experience in media production. Luckily for me, I got that experience with a company that offered me (aka I cheekily asked and by some miracle received) an apprenticeship before I had the chance to wrack up any student debt.
That apprenticeship altered my trajectory slightly, but is ultimately what led me here. Over the last six years, I’ve gained so much experience creating visual content for the breadth of international industry, as well as having the privilege of filming more than 20 weddings.
I set up KC Creative after being made redundant from my last agency role. Other videographer and editor positions open at the time just didn’t sing to my soul, so I decided to take all of the experience and lessons learned throughout my career so far, rip up the playbook and start writing my own.
And here we are…
When I’m not making visual magic happen, I love rollerskating, going to the cinema and drawing. I owe a lot to my love of film and TV and my creative spirit because without them, none of this would be happening today. I fully expect KC Creative to be a true labour of love, and honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
